More to come! The table set up was out of this world, really.

I did two shoots over the weekend and can’t wait to share them!
In the meantime, here are some behind-the-scenes pictures from Krystal & John’s engagement shoot at their downtown LA apartment. Special THANK YOU to them for letting us make a slight production out of their engagement photo session! I always feel a little weird asking, “Hey, um, is it alright if some additional camera crew comes to film?.” If having one camera in your face isn’t already slightly awkward! They were amazing though. If anyone was awkward with the video guys around it was me! Stills are fine. Snap snap, done. But video is way different. When you see a video of yourself, does anyone else think, “Yikes, is that how I look and sound in real life?!.” Eek. Haha.
Video coverage by Onward Entertainment, hair and make-up by Leslie Alejandro. I feel so LUCKY and grateful to get to work with such amazing, talented people!
Adorable couple, aren’t they? Like straight out of a catalog! And see the camera crew hiding in the bushes? I haven’t seen any footage yet but anyone who hides in the bushes to get shots does amazing work. It’s kind of a fact.

If there is any make-up artist I would call, it’s Leslie Alejandro, people! She’s a celebrity MUA and Beauty Editor for Bello Magazine, but if she has time she also does weddings. I would snag her if possible. She has great taste and knows EXACTLY what will look good on you.

Her two boys Kevin and Kaden came by to visit during the shoot! Kaden – this KID . . . no words to describe. He was giving me lessons on how to pose.

By the look on Kevin‘s face, I know what he’s thinking. He wants to eat those muffins.
The following two photos taken by Kaden. Talented little eye.
(half of) Jeremy and Bo – the guys of Onward.

Krystal & John were hitting each other hard! Now that’s love.

I will share Krystal & John’s official engagement pictures soon! Their wedding date and location is still TBD, but it’s definitely going to be destination, and apparently I am on board. ![]()
Do you ever try something to see if you can really do it? I’m a firm believer that a good old challenge is good for ya!
Recently I did my first boudoir shoot. It’s not my passion but I thought it’d be fun. To me, sexy photos are one of the hardest things to shoot. It’s a fine, FINE line between beautiful and plain old trashy. Ha!
Seriously, this is one of the hardest shoots I’ve ever done. Lighting was VERY limited but in a way I liked that. I shoot weddings so a lot times I am out of control when it comes to lighting situations. Good practice. ![]()
Caroline is my muse and she might be gorgeous but she is not a model. I feel like having a model who gets photographed for a living is cheating. I love Caroline because we can experiment and grow together. She’s real. REAL! Hahaha. Opposed to being fake, right? Hopefully you guys know what I mean! I just love capturing the essence of everyday people. Even if you are a model or actor, I’m not into all the pose-y photoshoot production kind of stuff. I really try to capture people in their most real, organic state.

So, with help of Caroline . . . Boudoir shoot – check! Looking at the results, some of the photos are dreamy artsy and some are more Maxim style. Very fun to experiment! Thanks to Caroline for being a great sport.
I’m going to continue shooting my favorite thing (weddings of course!), but if you are interested in boudoir pictures, I know some amazing photographers I can refer!
Holy Smokes Caro! Vavavoom!
wish I was ‘is not a model”…she looks like it to me
Great job on these!
I am looking for a good boudoir photographer in Los Angeles to take photos of me for a gift on our wedding day. Any suggestions, links or examples?
I’m back in LA. Yay!
Coming back is such a bittersweet feeling. I love NY as much as I love LA. I woke up one morning in my friend’s apartment to the sound of a man playing a flute. Looked out the window to see indeed a man playing the flute, cabs driving by, and people living LIFE. My friend asked me what is the one thing I miss most about the city and it’s being around different people who are essentially all the same. I miss feeling more connected.
I also miss my old friends!
Washington Square Park with Quendi.

The heart made me happy.

Long work day for all. I worked a 2 day event with Allie and Monica which was the main purpose of my trip. Ending the night with wine (drank from the bottle), ice cream (eaten from the container), snuggling on the couch, and Star Trek. ![]()

I live for brunch.

Seeeeeaaaaaaaaaan!

Spring is here! Central Park with Conway.

Conway: “Do I look ridiculous?” Um, yes. Always wanted to go on the little row boats!

Hudson Clearwater Restaurant in the Village – a very special place! I used to work with the owners at the Thompson Hotel when I first moved to LA. They were bartenders and I hosted at the restaurant along with Quendi (who stole my camera and took most of these pics, btw). I remember when they were talking about opening up their own place and took off to NYC to make it happen from scratch. Amazing to see what has become of their vision. If you are in NY, definitely check it out (if you can get a reservation)! They have been crazy busy since they opened!

Chris. You can find this handsome face behind the bar.

And Mark or his twin brother John (yes, there are two of these gorgeous faces on this planet) are usually at the door.

Chef Wes (far right) made my tummy happy.

Love this girl’s laugh. Always have. Maria was my bestie when I lived in NY and she met me for dinner. Soooo good to see her!

Quendi got some really amazing shots that night!

I’m about to get a bowl of Pho because I have borderline sniffles and I am convinced that Pho cures all. Then it’s back to work! Batmitzvah pics coming up soon. ![]()
I LOVE these pics, sis.
Chris and Quendi! I miss Hollywood Bowl outings with those two ![]()
Great shots CC!
Love the photos, especially the one of the pigeon and your friend! This is the only time I’ll appreciate pigeons =) Hope to meet up next time!
I hang up some of my goals in my office. This was added right before I left for NYC (I’m here at the moment). Haven’t been back in three years and it’s been way too long!

I think it’s important to write out your goals, constantly update them, and also share them with other people. ![]()
Have a great weekend everyone. I’ll be blogging again next (mid) week when I get back to LA.
