San Diego Wedding Photography: The Lighthouse Restaurant

Some pictures from Paula & Joseph’s wedding in San Diego.

One of the most emotional days I’ve ever witnessed.  You can read more about Paula & Joseph’s story here, and you can see their quirky engagement pictures here:)

He came into the room and smiled.  She turned to me and said, “That’s my dad.”  I said, “I know.” ;)  You can always tell.

Getting ready for the first-look!

Ya know, I think I have become quite intuitive with guessing what kind of dress my bride will have on the day of.  I told my second shooter that I think Paula is going to have a super poofy princess gown.  Nailed it!! :D  It was preeeeetty.

Are they cute or what?!  Look at those faces!

I laughed out loud when I saw this.

Ceremony.

Giving appreciation to their parents.

Paula’s BFF.  This is gonna be me when my BFF gets married in February!

Too cute for words.

To the reception (which was held at The Lighthouse Restaurant)!

I love watching couples from across the room when no one else is looking.  You can tell a lot about their interaction. ;)

They played some games after dinner.  FUN!!

Yup, they are definitely on the same team. :)

Mother/son dance.  Sweetest thing.

Father/daughter dance.  Seriously, I was dying behind the camera!

The next set of photos is one of my favorites.  Very tender the way he comforts her.

Have I mentioned that I love my job???

the pictures are amayzing. what mode do you use to capture so many lights?

Christine Chang - July 11, 2012 - 9:36 pm

Hey Rachel,

I shoot in manual mode and mostly use available light. For some of the reception photos I used an on-camera flash (Canon 580EX), bouncing the flash off the ceiling. :)
